Paperwork Needed

To apply for a loan, you will have to provide the lender with detailed documentation of your financial history. The lender will request a credit report from a credit agency and will verify the information provided in your loan application. Be prepared to provide:

Identification:

  • Copy of government identification: Current driver's license, social security card, or passport
  • For non-citizen applicant:  Green card or VISA/EAD
Assets:
  • Copies of checking and savings accounts statements for the past two months
  • Investment / Retirement account statements for past two months
Income:
  • Recent paycheck stubs for past 30 days
  • 2 years personal tax return
  • 2 years business tax return (if applicable)
If you own property:
  • Copy of current mortgage statement
  • Homeowner insurance policy
  • HOA documentation (if applicable)
